Du Monde Blanc
Belgium
Product:
Blanc du Monde is brewed on wheat and barley, seasoned with pomerans and coriander. The recipe goes back to the early Middle Ages, when monks brewed the first wheat beer. Today the tradition is kept alive and Du Monde Blanc likewise. Du Monde Blanc is brewed by a small Belgian brewery using the same recipe as the original.
Producer:
The history of the brewery dates back to 1784. Many 100 domestic breweries in Flanders made their own beer for their own consumption, or as a side activity of agriculture, because it was safer to drink beer than water. In Ertvelde, began Jean Baptise De Bruin Brewery DE PEER. He began brewing beer as their main activity. Today is chaired brewery of Paul Van Steen Berge and Jef Versele, son of Greta Van Steen Berge - son of Paul's sister. The future is guaranteed thanks to the sixth generation. The rules of traditional brewing goes from one generation to the next. The passion for brewing, is second nature - you are born a brewer, and you die as a brewer!
