The generous addition of hops both during and at the end of the fermentation process (dry-hopping) gives our India Pale Ale its characteristic bitterness and piney citrus aroma and flavor. With medium freshness, crisp finish, moderate alcohol and IBUnivåer, this is one of America's most easy drinking and best-selling IPA'er.
Red Hook was established in 1981, when Gordon Bowker and Paul Shipman urged Redhook Brewery to serve Seattle a better beer. In 1982 came the first pint of Red Hook Ale. Five years later Red Hook grew out from Ballard brewery and moved to a Fremont barn carriage where Trolleyman brewpub opened.
